Focus on innovation in mind, we have released digital automatic rain gauges on advanced technology. The rain measuring devices provide one of the most accurate without moving parts. As no moving parts, it doesn't require to maintain it by manual, which can save human labor cost.They are developed on electronic sensors for remote online application. The signal outputs have RS485/RS232,4-20mA,etc.
We have three types of electronic rain instruments as developing technology. They are infrared optical gauge, piezoelectric sensing gauge and 24GHz radar rain gauge. Users can select it as requirement.
Infrared Optical Rain Gauges
The model is developed on our infrared rain sensor which is for rain measurement. It adopts principle of optical scanning, and it firstly does real-time scanning for rain drop size and rain drop quantity, then calculate rainfall rate accordingly. The rain gauge supports pulse and RS232 output. When using pulse output, it can completely replace tilting tipping bucket rain gauge. This model provides high cost-effective solution.
1.High sensitivity. Because of introducing with series of electronic optics and micro-electronics technology of filtering, amplification and demodulation, it ensures high sensitivity. Especially with traditional mechanical type rain gauges, this feature is more obvious. For example, when rainfall rate is very small, the rate may not reach Min tilting value(0.2mm),then small rain rate continues to volatilize, as a result, mechanical type can't measure. By contrast, optical rain gauge can still measure rain drop quantity, even rain size.
2.No maintenance required. Completely sealing structure, no moving parts and no wearing loss. So there is no maintenance requirement of mechanical type rain gauge, e.g. clear fallen leaves, replace tipping bucket, etc.
3.Simple installing. Traditional mechanical rain gauges usually require horizontal placement. If not completely horizontal, the rain measuring system will have bigger error up. The worse situation is that mechanical type can't work normally. Infrared rain devices is not mechanical principle, so no limit of horizontal installing. User just need to make most of rain test surface upside.
4.Measuring in motion. Because there is no moving parts, the rain sensor can measure rainfall in motion, e.g. put on top of car. This has no influence to the accuracy. This can't be done by traditional mechanical rain gauge device.

Note: Comparing with the other two models,infrared optical rain gauge has lower price.
